FAQs

Q: How can I join Adventure Club?

A: To join Adventure Club at California State University Fullerton, there are 3 major requirements which are as follows:

1) Be a CSUF student
2) Pay club fees that is $15/semester (Club T-shirt included)
3) Fill out the Adventure Club Membership Form

Q: Where can I pay the club fees?

A: You can pay the club fees that is $15/semester at the club meetings. If you cannot attend the club meetings, you can also pay on the day you attend any club event.

Q: I cannot attend the club meetings. Can I still be a part of club?

A: Yes. You can still be a part of club.

Q: What is the difference between an Official and  an Unofficial Event?

A: Official vs Unofficial Events:

   Official Events:
- Funded and sponsored by the club
- Members are allowed to bring only 1 Non-member with a $35 Non-members fee.
- Discounts on certain events that cost extra.
   Unofficial Events:
- NOT funded by the club
- Club provides the platform to create event. Social events are also considered unofficial
- Club is not responsible for your activities in any form
- Members are encouraged to use Facebook as a platform to create events (but must contact either a club event organizer, the Event Coordinator, or President first before creating an event on the Facebook Page).
- On these events, members can bring their friends or families as well who are non-members.

Q: How often do we have events?
A: We organize events mostly every weekend.

Q: What is the Leadership Circle?

A: Leadership Circle is a group of club leaders who work as a team to run the club. These club leaders decide, organize, and supervise club activities and events.

Q: How can I be a part of Leadership Circle?

A: Any club member can be a part of leadership circle. We encourage all members to gain some form of leadership experience which may help in their future endeavors.

We do not have elections in our club (except for the President and Treasurer positions) but our leaders work as a team for the betterment of the club. We have several positions available such as Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Publicity Officer, Event Organizer and Official Photographer. The details of each position is below:

Vice president: Works directly with President and takes care of all the club responsibilities in the Absence of the president. This includes organizing club leadership and general meetings; organizing, arranging and leading the outdoor field trips such as hiking, camping and others and keeping the whole group together.

Secretary: Takes care of club emails and responds to them professionally. He/She also takes notes during meetings and send them to all members.

Treasurer: Helps in depositing and taking out money from club account on campus. He/She also helps in developing a budget for the club.

Event Organizer: Plans out events for the club. You can plan and do a research about the event you want to organize. Make sure to consider following things such as location, travel time, the cost of travel, reservations, food and any special arrangements. After extensive research, you can present your plan to Leadership Circle for the approval.

Publicity Officer: Helps out in doing club publicity. We do chalking, make banners, posters for club and post them on campus. Publicity officer can also take part in the club Newsletter team.

Official Photographer: Takes club photos and videos and share them with the club members on on social media websites like Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr.

Q: What are the benefits of joining Leadership Circle as a Club Leader?

A: Club Leaders get:
          - Leadership & networking experience.
          - A unique experience for resumes/job applications/graduate school applications
          - A reference letter on Club’s official notepad.
          - An Official Club Certificate recognizing their work.

Q: Is there a list of things I need to bring for camping?

A: Please check out the list of the things you need for camping. I know you won't have everything but just bring whatever you can. There are some general group items like fire wood or stove that everyone don't have nor need to bring. But there are some individual items like tent, sleeping bag, flash light, cutlery and other personal items that everyone should try to bring themselves.
